After a weekend full of astounding games, shocking performances, and quite a few underwhelming ones, College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit unveiled his top performing teams from Week 1.

There was a handful of teams to pick from over the course of Thursday until Monday; however, Herbstreit highlighted seven prominent teams who showed up over the first week of the season.

All seven teams picked up massive wins throughout the weekend. Vanderbilt started it off after defeating Virginia Tech . Entering the game as double-digit underdogs, they won in epic fashion during overtime.

At the same time the Commodores were winning, Georgia was putting a beating on the Clemson Tigers and ended up winning 34-3, after a dominant second half.

Despite a weather delay in Morgantown, Penn State didn't lose a beat against West Virginia . Dominating on both sides of the ball led by quarterback Drew Allar .

Miami, well, they dominated too. They entered the swamp, and they drowned the Gators. A blowout 41-17 victory over a very underwhelming Florida team that has a lot to correct.

Then over the course of Saturday night into Monday night Notre Dame had a massive road win over Texas A&M in College Station.

Then USC and Miller Moss came out victorious against LSU after trailing in the fourth quarter, and lastly, to cap the weekend off, Boston College put a beating on a sluggish, ugly-performing Florida State team that has been very bad through their first two games.
