After the Indiana Fever secured a spot in the WNBA playoffs on Tuesday, the team's social media account shared a post showing the goals the players wrote prior to the season. Sure enough, what Caitlin Clark wrote turned heads.

While a lot of her teammates expressed their desire to make the playoffs, Clark took an unconventional approach and instead said she just wants to be smiling at the end of the campaign.

"Smile," Clark noted along with a smiley character .

It's unknown why Clark had "smile" as her goal for the 2024 season, but the decision certainly had fans buzzing.

Many simply couldn't help but laugh about it, poking fun at Clark's humor.

"Smile?? I can’t with her HAHSHSHAHHSHA," a fan wrote. Another one said, "Real talk....after all these fun group vignettes ive learned CC got the driest sense of humor in the squad....in the best way."

Others pointed out that Clark has certainly fulfilled her wish after the Fever secured a playoff spot. After all, it's the first time since 2016 that Indiana has made it to the postseason.

"CC has definitely been smiling," a commenter added. A social media user echoed the same sentiment, saying, "CC writing smile :) - we all know she smiling rn."

"Caitlin at the beginning of the season 😭. Caitlin second half of the season 😏. She is definitely smiling more. Go Fever!" a fifth poster shared.

Sure enough, there are several reasons for Caitlin Clark to smile amid a historic campaign . She is on pace to win Rookie of the Year for 2024, averaging 18.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and a WNBA-best 8.4 assists.

The Fever are 17-16 on the season as of the time of writing, and they have a great chance to finish with a record above .500 for just the second time in the last 12 years. Indiana has won six of its seven games since returning from the Olympic break, and they have shown no signs of slowing down any time soon.

With the way they are playing, the Fever are cementing themselves as legitimate postseason threats. That will surely put a smile on anyone's face.
