Lamar Jackson Gets Brutally Honest on Biggest Career Frustration

Lamar Jackson has quite the interesting career so far. He's a two-time MVP, and is one of two people to win the award unanimously. His teams has seen constant regular season success.

Yet, Jackson isn't as talked about as, say, Patrick Mahomes. The biggest reason is his lack of playoff success. Last season was the first time Jackson's Baltimore Ravens have reached the Conference Finals with him under center.

Jackson admits that his lack of a Super Bowl ring has bothered him. In a recent interview, the Ravens star admits that he knows he has to live with the fact that pundits are going to talk about him, ring or no ring.

“I haven’t gotten a Super Bowl yet," Jackson said, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. "That’s the only thing that bothers me. I don’t care what (naysayers) say because they still talk about Michael Jordan, they still talk about LeBron (James). They still talk about Steph Curry."

"Those guys got championships," he continued. "I don’t have one yet. So it’s like, ‘All right, cool, you’re going to talk about me.’"

Entering Year 7 of his career, Jackson has accumulated a resume that can land him in the Hall of Fame. We touched on his two MVPs, including his 2019 unanimous MVP award. He and Tom Brady are the only two to ever be given the award unanimously.

Jackson also has multiple QB rushing records, three Pro Bowls, and two first-team All-Pros to his name. Really, the only thing that can make his HoF case stronger is that elusive Super Bowl ring. He has another shot of winning that crown this season.
