Alabama LB Jihaad Campbell Gives Short Statement on USF Matchup

Many Alabama fans remember the comment former quarterback Jalen Hurts gave in response to their Vanderbilt road matchup in 2017.

An undefeated Vanderbilt hosted No. 1 Alabama and freshman Hurts. There was a lot of buildup for this matchup, as former Vanderbilt defensive lineman Nifae Lealoa gave confident remarks towards Alabama, saying, "Alabama, you're next."

This led to a memorable response from Hurts.

"Theoretically, we are next on their schedule," Hurts said. "And we have to prepare, and we have to get ready to play a good Vanderbilt team."

The game did not go as Vanderbilt expected, as they would lose to Alabama 59-0 at home.

Now, looking to today, Alabama is preparing for their matchup with USF, and linebacker Jihaad Campbell spoke with the media about this matchup and gave a Hurts-like response.
