LeBron James Sends Strong Message to Bronny James on Instagram

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is entering his 22nd season in the NBA. This will be James' seventh season in Los Angeles after signing with the Lakers in 2018.

Having experienced nearly everything the NBA has to offer, James will enter uncharted territory this season when he takes the floor with his son. Bronny James was selected 55th overall by the Lakers in the 2024 NBA draft after one season at USC.

While he may spend some time in the G League, the younger James will almost certainly have the opportunity to take the floor with his father in his rookie season.

Bronny James has dealt with a lot of outside noise since hearing his name called as the 55th pick. With many arguing he would not be in the NBA if not for his father, James has already experienced unprecedented attention and criticism for a late-second round draft pick.

Recognizing the scrutiny his son is facing, LeBron James shared a strong message to him on Instagram:

This father-son dynamic is already uncharted territory for the NBA, but it is even more magnified because of Lebron and the Lakers. The NBA's all-time leading scorer, James is one of the most popular athletes ever.

In addition to James' popularity, the Lakers are one of the biggest franchises in sports history, making this already major story that much bigger. Having dealt with the spotlight for over two decades, the James family should be well-equipped for this upcoming season.
