Dan Patrick's Bold Caitlin Clark MVP Case Won't Make A'ja Wilson Happy

Caitlin Clark has put together an incredible rookie campaign in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever. She's the runaway favorite to win Rookie of the Year, and in some instances, she's being inserted into the MVP conversation.

For the most part, Las Vegas Aces superstar center A'ja Wilson is widely considered to be the favorite to win MVP, but folks are making arguments for Clark to take home the award.

One such person who is making that argument is Dan Patrick. While he seems to agree that Wilson has been the best player in the WNBA this season, he believes that Clark's value for the Fever compared to Wilson's for the Aces may be greater.

In terms of numbers, it's clear that Wilson (27.5 PPG, 12.1 RPG, 2.4 APG, 52.6 FG%) is putting together a better season than Clark (18.7 PPG, 8.4 APG, 5.6 RPG, 42.4 FG%).

When considering the impact she's had on the Fever, and really the WNBA as a whole, though, it's fair to wonder whether Patrick actually makes a strong MVP case for Clark.

Either way, Clark and the Fever have been rolling as of late, and they will be looking to keep up their strong play when they take on the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday night.
