Shaquille O'Neal Didn't Hold Back in Naming Worst NBA Player of All Time

Shaquille O'Neal is without a doubt one of the greatest big men to ever do it. This is exactly why people listen whenever the legend has something to say.

In a recent interview, the Los Angeles Lakers icon was asked to name who, in his opinion, is the worst player of all time. Shaq was quick to name Minnesota Timberwolves big man Rudy Gobert for this dishonor, which just goes to show how O'Neal is far from a fan of the four-time Defensive Player of the Year.

Shaq, however, immediately pivoted when Ben Simmons was brought into the conversation. The Hall of Fame center did not hold back in letting his true feelings about the Brooklyn Nets star known.

"Ben Simmons is another bum," Shaq said. "... If you sign a contract for [$250 million], show me 250. There's a reason why I walk funny and why I can't turn my neck, why I can't do it. I played for my 120.

"So you got guys like him that f*** the system over. They making all this money and they can't f****** play. I don't respect guys like that."

Savage.

This is also far from the first time O'Neal has gone scorched earth on the oft-injured Simmons, who has played a grand total of just 57 games over the past three seasons.

Earlier this year, Shaq delivered a ruthless three-word jab aimed at Simmons after the latter's NBA 2K25 rating was revealed. From being an 87 in NBA 2K21, the former Rookie of the Year fell all the way down to a 66 in 2K25.

O'Neal, however, thought that 2K was being too generous. "Should b lower," he posted on social media.

What we learned about Shaquille O'Neal here is that he is not a fan of Rudy Gobert. At the same time, he thinks even less of Ben Simmons.
