NFL Network insider Peter Schrager shared his Super Bowl LIX prediction on Thursday, September 5, ahead of the February 9, 2025, game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

After correctly picking the last five Super Bowl winners, Schrager is aiming to extend his remarkable streak to six.

In 2019, Schrager predicted the Kansas City Chiefs as champions, followed by correctly selecting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. He then chose the Chiefs in 2022 and once again predicted Kansas City to repeat as champions over the San Francisco 49ers in last year's Super Bowl.

For the NFC in 2024, Schrager is going with the Green Bay Packers.

He took his prediction a step further, claiming that Green Bay would make it as a wild card team, defeating the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round, the Detroit Lions in the divisional round, and the reigning NFC champions San Francisco 49ers in the conference championship.

On the AFC side, Schrager has the Chiefs making it back to the Super Bowl for the third consecutive season.

And once again, he has Kansas City emerging victorious, defeating the Packers in a rematch of the very first Super Bowl ever played.

Schrager believes the Chiefs will cement their place as the greatest team in NFL history, with Tom Brady—often regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time—calling the game from the broadcast booth.

"In football, three Super Bowls in a row is unprecedented," Schrager said.

He added that it won’t just be a three-peat for Kansas City but rather a “Chiefs-Peat.”

"I know it might be boring at home," Schrager joked about choosing the Chiefs for the third straight year. "But I think we should embrace it. I think it's magical."

Schrager also predicted that Patrick Mahomes would win MVP, which would mark the fourth of his career.

While everyone has Super Bowl picks, and it’s easy to overlook most predictions, Schrager’s remarkable track record of success means his picks are taken more seriously than most. After all, five in a row is no small feat.
