    There's a different feeling around Colorado-Nebraska in 2024.

Last year's matchup was all Buffaloes, as then first-year head coach Deion Sanders and company notched a 36-14 win in Colorado's home opener. The Cornhuskers, led by second-year head coach Matt Rhule, added some notable pieces over the offseason, including five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola and the nation's No. 18 ranked recruiting class (247Sports).

Star power isn't hard to find between the two programs. With Raiola on one side and Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter on the other, this matchup should provide plenty of highlight opportunities.

Colorado faced a tough test in the season opener against North Dakota State. One of the most successful FCS programs, the Bison put up a fight but ultimately fell 31-26 in Boulder. In Raiola's collegiate debut, Nebraska had no trouble with UTEP, opening the season with a 40-7 win in Lincoln.

Surprisingly, the Cornhuskers are 7.5-point favorites, per ESPN Bet, entering their home matchup against Colorado despite the lopsided affair a year ago. For Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt, he's not buying into the Nebraska hype just yet. At least not with Sanders and Hunter on the other sideline.

"I just cannot in good conscience say that those two elite players (Sanders and Hunter) – maybe the best quarterback in the game and the best non-quarterback in the game – are going to get beat by seven and a half in a game that they are clearly going to be circling all offseason," he said on "The Joel Klatt Show."

Klatt isn't just taking the points. He's taking the Buffaloes to win the game outright and move to 2-0 on the season.

"I like Colorado 34-31 in an absolute classic in Lincoln," Klatt said.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC).
