The popularity of the WNBA is at an all-time high thanks to the 2024 rookie class, especially the likes of Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese. Both players have brought in a whole new wave of fans from their days at Iowa and LSU, respectively.

The Clark vs. Reese rivalry has been one of the more popular storylines throughout the new season, with fans highly invested when the two meet. With all these Clark and Reese fans comes a lot of trash talk on social media.

But some of these new fans can take things too far, and Reese would tell you the exact same.

On the first-ever episode of " Unapologetically Angel ," Reese opened up about some concerning interactions with Clark fans.

"I think it's really just the fans," Reese said. "Her fans. The Iowa fans. Now, the Indiana fans. They ride for her, and I respect that. But sometimes, it's very disrespectful. I think there's a lot of racism when it comes to it, and I don't believe she stands on any of that. But when it comes to death threats, I'm talking about when people come down to my address, following me home. It's come down to that."

Reese then went on to talk about what some fans have done to her with fake images.

"On multiple occasions, people have made AI pictures of me naked," Reese added. "They have sent it to my family members... It sucks to see that, and it's really hard that I have to go through that."

Reese has enjoyed a very successful season with the Sky, averaging a double-double, breaking many rebounding records, and making her first WNBA All-Star appearance.

However, Clark has found herself out in front in the Rookie of the Year race. The Sky have now dropped seven games straight, while the Fever are one of the hottest teams in the league, going 7-1 in their last eight.
