The NFL season is officially back, which means football fans are back to hopping on Twitter to discuss, ridicule, and criticize their favorite teams and players.

The Baltimore Ravens' opening season loss to the Kansas City Chiefs naturally had many assigning blame to different players.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson, usually the center of praise from the fanbase, was at the center of this criticism. He missed Isaiah Likely and Zay Flowers in consecutive passes in the fourth quarter, as both were open in the end zone for the opportunity to score and tie the game.

Jackson was relatively solid in the passing game while grounding 122 yards on just 16 carries. However, his inability to perform in the critical moment is what fans recall from the night.

"All Lamar had to do was throw a accurate pass to Zay Flowers dude," one user said. "He can't miss that throw."

Per usual, some fans attributed the officiating as the Ravens' detriment. There were a few questionable calls that killed momentum for Baltimore and gave the Chiefs second-chance opportunities.

And then, there were others that were just careless.

At least there was some upside for tight end Isaiah Likely, who had a career game with nine receptions and 111 yards with one touchdown. He nearly came up with the potential game-tying catch as well, but his toe was ruled out of bounds upon further review.

Many resorted to making jokes comparing this call to Kevin Durant's toe being on the three-point line in the Brooklyn Nets' eventual Game 7 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 Eastern Semifinals.

Baltimore is back in action against the Las Vegas Raiders (0-0) Sept. 15 at 1:00 p.m.
