Giants in Strong Position Against Vikings

There is a very strong likelihood that the New York Giants could share sole possession for first place in the NFC East after Week 1.

    Yes, you read that right.

Every organization in the division outside of Big Blue is set to take on a team over the next few days that either won a playoff game last season or reached the postseason. The Giants will instead face off against a Minnesota Vikings team led by Sam Darnold at quarterback.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a showdown with the Green Bay Packers in Brazil on Friday evening. The Dallas Cowboys are in Cleveland for their season opener. Even the Washington Commanders are in Tampa Bay for a matchup against the defending NFC South champions.

When it comes down to it, despite going up against some good players like Justin Jefferson, the Giants have a golden opportunity to start the season off right.

Darnold, Minnesota's projected starter for the 2024 season, has been in the league for six seasons and has looked serviceable with competent coaching, despite his struggles with the New York Jets.

The issue? As solid as Darnold looks at times, his 21-35 record as starter is not something to ignore. It's why the Giants should not only feel confident going into Sunday's contest but also moving forward throughout the season. Getting out of the gate fast will be integral to staying afloat in a tough NFC East.

Aaron Jones and ty chandler are probably the most dangerous two headed monster in the game now that the o-line is fixed .

vikings running game is smash down dangerous giants probably won't deal with it too well , also realize nailor has been lights out with speed and separation along with Powell , Jefferson, Addison (whose ready to fly ) and darnolds ability to run (which vikings haven't had in years) could spell a poop ton of trouble , and Gilmore recently added to finish the defense overhaul by Flores should keep a healthy time of possession and most likely several turnovers led by ( best defensive player in the draft !! ) Dallas turner . Cashman , hitman Harry and crazy vanginkle are completely ready to rumble .
