NFL legend Peyton Manning recently spoke on the "Pat McAfee Show," sharing his thoughts on the Texas Longhorns Week 2 matchup against the Michigan Wolverines.

Manning was asked about the situation in Texas, where Arch Manning is sitting behind Quinn Ewers. Peyton Manning's nephew is playing in his second college football season, but he's still waiting his turn to start for the Longhorns.

Ewers is currently the starting quarterback, having played for Texas for three seasons after transferring in from Ohio State.

Peyton Manning believes Ewers is going to have a great year with the Longhorns. He reiterated that he's proud of Arch Manning and his decision to go to Texas.

The NFL Hall of Fame explained that Arch Manning committed to Texas for a reason, such as playing under head coach Steve Sarkisian.

He thinks other players would have left in the transfer portal era, having to sit for a few years, so Peyton Manning is applauding Arch for his commitment.

"I'm proud of Arch," Manning said. "I'm proud of him. Like you said, most kids probably wouldn't have stayed in that situation. He went to Texas because he wanted to play at Texas. He wanted to go to college there. He wanted to play for Sark. Those are the right reasons you should choose a college. I'm glad he's staying there. He and Quinn have a good relationship. I think Quinn's gonna have a great year."

Arch Manning was able to play in Week 1 for the Longhorns when Texas picked up a 52-0 victory over Colorado State. He entered the game in the third quarter when UT held a 38-0 lead.

In Manning's limited opportunity with the Longhorns, he produced one touchdown on 95 yards, with an 83.3 completion percentage.

The 19-year-old star committed to Texas as the No. 1 player in the class of 2023.

Many believe there may be trouble in paradise for Arch and the Texas Longhorns since he came into the scene as a highly touted prospect and is now on the sideline, but Peyton Manning shut down any of those rumors.

The Super Bowl champion likes the situation that Arch Manning is in and applauds what the Longhorns have going for them.
