Legendary, now-retired college football coach Nick Saban made his second appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay, and fans are already loving the unexpected dynamic between him and co-host Pat McAfee.

With seven national championships under his belt, one with LSU and six with Alabama, Saban’s transition to TV gives him more time for family and a new gig on ESPN’s top college football show.

Saban’s stern, serious personality is the opposite of McAfee’s loud, energetic style.

In Week 1’s show on August 31, a clip of McAfee dancing on set went viral , but Saban’s reaction sitting right next to him was what fans on social media were loving. Fans joked that Saban was already fed up with McAfee, and McAfee himself didn’t disagree.

On Friday, September 6, the day before College GameDay’s Week 2 show, Saban finally addressed the viral moment.

McAfee brought it up on The Pat McAfee Show, laughing as he pointed out, “You side-eyed the sh** out of me.”

Saban then shared with viewers what was going through his mind at that moment.

"I didn't know what to think," Saban said.

McAfee replied, "You were thinking I was an a**hole."

    "No, I wasn't thinking that."

College GameDay is in Ann Arbor ahead of Week 2's massive non-conference matchup between the third-ranked Texas Longhorns and the tenth-ranked Michigan Wolverines.

Both teams made last season's College Football Playoff, and Michigan went on to win the national championship over Washington, 34-13.

Texas returns star starting quarterback Quinn Ewers, while Michigan lost their signal-caller J.J. McCarthy to the Minnesota Vikings at the NFL level. The Wolverines will start former walk-on and cancer survivor Davis Warren under center.

Per ESPN Bet, Texas is a 7.5-point favorite.

Texas and Michigan have only faced each other once in their history. This occurred in the 2005 Rose Bowl, a game that Texas won 38-37 with a game-winning field goal in the closing moments.
