David Pollack Believes One Powerhouse Program Has A 'Man Child' At Quarterback

Former ESPN analyst David Pollack recently spoke about the Week 2 slate in college football, while sharing high praise for a superstar freshman in the Big Ten.

Pollack was previewing the Colorado Buffaloes versus Nebraska Cornhuskers matchup when he spoke about true freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola.

He believes Nebraska is going to continue to grow under head coach Matt Rhule. Pollack seems to be a huge fan of Raiola, who's currently starting for the Cornhuskers at just 19 years old.

Pollack called Raiola a "man child" when commenting on Nebraska's offensive improvement. He thinks the Cornhuskers "got a guy" who can really help them excel this season.

"This is a program that's only gonna continue to grow," Pollack said. "Not only is it going to continue to grow because of their defense. Dude, they've got a man child at quarterback. They got a guy. Top 10 recruit in the country, Dylan Raiola."

When speaking on Raiola, David Pollack even went as far as comparing the true freshman to NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Pollack believes Raiola's poise and the way he's able to be creative when throwing the football reminds him of the three-time Super Bowl champion.

"He looks like Mahomes," Pollack said. "I'm not saying that he's Mahomes. I'm just saying when he throws the football, it's from all kinds of arm angles. It's crafty, it's unique. His heart rate is cool. He's calm, He's collected. He knows his answers."

In Week 1, Raiola led the Cornhuskers to a 40-7 victory over UTEP. He finished his first outing at the collegiate level with two touchdowns and 238 yards with a 70.4 completion percentage.

Raiola has a tall task ahead, playing in a rivalry game against the Colorado Buffaloes in Week 2, but the Cornhuskers are favored in the matchup.

As Pollack explained, the freshman seems poised and calm in any situation, so Raiola should be ready for the bright lights against Deion Sanders and company.
