During her collegiate years at Wisconsin, Moore won the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year award and was a two-time First Team All-Big Ten player. She displayed her toughness while at Wisconsin, as she played in every game during her four seasons.

Moore spent six seasons in the WNBA after being drafted by the Miami Sol with the 15th pick in the first round of the 2002 WNBA Draft. Throughout her career, she also spent time with the Minnesota Lynx, Detroit Shock, Phoenix Mercury, New York Liberty, Los Angeles Sparks, and Houston Comets.

For the last four years, Moore was the head coach of the men's basketball team at Mesabi Range College, which is a community college in Minnesota. She was also a Summer League assistant coach for the Boston Celtics in 2022.

It has been a busy offseason for the Mavs, as they acquired Hall-of-Famer Klay Thompson immediately following an NBA Finals appearance, among other key contributors. The addition of Moore to the scouting department only adds to the positive moves Dallas has made all summer.
