Taylor Swift Had Massive NFL Impact After Chiefs-Ravens Season Opener

There were more than a few noteworthy moments from the NFL's season opener between the two-time defending champions Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5. Fans across the nation have been patiently waiting for the return of the NFL over the past few months, and they were not left disappointed.

There was perhaps no bigger play in the game than the Ravens' botched touchdown in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. This was after Baltimore tight end Isaiah Likely was caught stepping out of bounds after a potential TD catch that would have given the Ravens a chance to either tie the game with an extra point or win it with a two-point conversion.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, the touchdown was called off, which led to the Chiefs drawing first blood in their title defense with a hard-fought 27-20 victory.

This came to the delight of the home fans at Arrowhead Stadium as they watched Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the squad start their campaign with a win. Taylor Swift, of course, was in attendance as she offered her full support to her beau, Travis Kelce, in his first game of the season.

Much like the Chiefs, Swift also picked off right where she left off in terms of her immense impact on the NFL. The fact that she dominated the NFL's social media accounts on Day 1 is an undeniable testament to the same.

Highlighted in the brief clip above is how Swift immediately went viral after the NFL posted her on Instagram and TikTok. This just goes to show how much of her fans, aka the Swifties, have gravitated toward football. There's also no denying that NFL supporters themselves have gained a certain affinity toward the pop queen.

As of writing, the NFL's Instagram post featuring Swift has already amassed 4.4 million views. Her pre-game arrival has been viewed 7.5 million times. That's a combined 11.9 million views, which blows every other post out of the water.

She was even more dominant on the NFL's TikTok, with the same arrival video (2.3 million views) beating out all other posts from the Chiefs-Ravens game.

As mentioned previously, this is just the first day of the season, so there's definitely going to be a lot more of Swift throughout Kansas' title defense. Love her or hate her, Taylor Swift is here to stay.
