Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was hurt late in Friday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and some fans are pointing fingers squarely at the NFL for the injury.

Love was hurt on the team's final drive after being pressured and taken down, with his leg appearing to twist awkwardly as he went down to the turf. Love remained on the field in pain as the team's medical staff tended to him and he was taken out of the game.

After the injury, some fans placed blame on the NFL for playing the game on an unfamiliar field in São Paulo, Brazil, as part of the league's plan to expand into worldwide markets. The game was played in Corinthians Arena, home to the soccer club Corinthians FC from Brazil's top professional league.

"So the NFL brings two of its marquee teams to Brazil to play on a [expletive] field and now the Packers' season could be over as Jordan Love lays on the field. Slow clap all around," wrote one in a post on X .

"Packers just lost jordan love cus the nfl wanted to play a game on [expletive] turf in brazil," wrote another.

"If you’re going to make players fly all the way to Brazil to play a football game, the field conditions have to be better than this. All it takes is one bad slip, it’s dangerous," another added .

But Bryan Murphy of The Sporting News reported before the game that both teams had some familiar conditions in Brazil. The playing surface uses a product known as GrassMaster that combines Ryegrass with artificial fibers.

"It's essentially a fancy version of real grass mixed with elements of turf fibers, as opposed to using strictly turf," Murphy wrote.

Murphy added that there are two NFL stadiums using GrassMaster -- Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles, and Lambeau Field, home of the Packers.

The Packers did not have an update on the severity of Love's injury after the game.

that injury could have happened anywhere any time to any player ..its got Nothing to do with the stadium the field or the country ! looks to me like the defender around his legs had more to do with the injury than the field or nfl choice!

How many other player played on the bad field and didn’t get hurt. Typical packer reaction after a loss.
