The Memphis Grizzlies have officially announced the signings of four players: forward/center Armando Bacot, guard Yuki Kawamura, guard Miye Oni, and forward Maozinha Pereira.

While the terms of the contracts have not been disclosed per team policy, these signings reflect the Grizzlies' continued effort to bolster their depth ahead of the upcoming season.

These players are expected to spend time developing in the G League with the Memphis Hustle.

Armando Bacot: A college standout looking to prove himself

Armando Bacot, a 6-foot-11 forward/center from North Carolina, had an illustrious five-year collegiate career. As the all-time leader in games played, total rebounds (1,715), and double-doubles (87) for the Tar Heels, Bacot leaves a significant legacy behind. Despite not being selected in the 2024 NBA draft, the 24-year-old brings a wealth of experience and production and could make coach Taylor Jenkins' rotation, which needs more depth at the center position.

Yuki Kawamura: The Japanese star aiming for NBA success

Yuki Kawamura, a 5-foot-8 guard from Japan, enters the Grizzlies organization after a successful stint in the Japanese B.League. Named the league's MVP in 2022-23, Kawamura has established himself as one of Japan's top basketball talents. Averaging 20.9 points and 8.0 assists last season, Yuki is known for his dynamic playmaking abilities. While the 23-year-old's size may present challenges, Kawamura's skillset could make him a valuable asset for the Memphis Hustle, where he is expected to develop further while gaining exposure to NBA competition.

Miye Oni: NBA veteran looking for a fresh start

Miye Oni, a 6-foot-5 guard, has three seasons of NBA experience, having played with the Utah Jazz. Selected 58th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft, Oni has appeared in 80 NBA games, offering defensive versatility and some scoring potential. Having also gained valuable experience in the G League, Oni's signing could bolster both the Grizzlies' depth and the Hustle's lineup. His leadership and experience, including representing Nigeria at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, could benefit Memphis' younger players.

Maozinha Pereira: A promising forward returning for another shot

Maozinha Pereira, a 6-foot-8 forward from Brazil, returns to the Grizzlies after briefly appearing last season. In his rookie campaign with Memphis, he showed flashes of potential, averaging 6.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in seven games. Pereira's experience playing in the NBA G League with Mexico City Capitanes and his international experience with Brazil at the 2024 Paris Olympics have helped him grow his game.
