Jalen Carter Reveals Malicious DMs He’s Received Since Jordan Love’s Injury

It’s safe to say Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter didn’t exactly have a great plane ride home after the team’s 34-29 season-opening win over the Green Bay Packers Friday night in Brazil.

Carter, who tackled quarterback Jordan Love on the play that injured the 25-year-old signal-caller, drew the ire of some unruly Packers fans blaming him for Love’s possible season-ending injury.

Carter posted a screen shot of his DMs after the game, which were littered with death threats and racially charged insults, with the caption “Making a football play wishing Jordan the best recovery.”

Video replay of the incident show the 23-year-old defensive tackle grabbing Love just under his left knee as he tried to wrap him up and bring him to the ground as linebacker Josh Sweat hit him up high.

No update has been given on Love, but Packers fans are already fearing the worst after a slow-motion video of the play shows Love’s left knee popping as he fell to the ground.

Some have speculated it could be a torn ACL, which would be a season-ender, while others believe it could be a high-ankle sprain, which could potentially sideline him for only a few weeks.
