Concern for Lee Corso Grows After Saturday's College GameDay

ESPN's Lee Corso has been a staple of college football Saturdays since the birth of College GameDay in 1987.

The now 89-year-old analyst has always been full of hilarious and unfiltered moments, but fans have been increasingly concerned about his health. College GameDay now features Nick Saban, who is clearly Corso's replacement in waiting, and Kirk Herbstriet can consistently be seen helping guide Corso through his thoughts.

However, fans have been expressing how badly they feel when they watch him try his best to power through each episode.

"No disrespect to Lee Corso, but there’s simply no reason for him to still be on College Gameday It’s hard to watch him go out there and struggle through each episode," wrote one fan.

"Damn it’s Tough to watch Lee Corso," wrote NFL legend Warren Sapp.

"I think bro wants to keep doing it until he no longer can… that’s why he’s a face of college football pregame," added another.

Corso suffered from a stroke in 2009, which led to him not being able to speak for a period of time. He has been able to power through and let his passion for the sport and for entertaining fans continue to motivate him.

He even hit 28-time Olympic medalist, Michael Phelps with his signature "not so fast my friend," ahead of the Texas-Michigan game.

Outside of the Week Zero game in Dublin, Ireland, he has been at both of the "GameDay" on-site shows in America this season.
