Danny Kanell Rips Into Michigan During Texas Beatdown

Danny Kanell joined the growing chorus of critics piling on Michigan during their brutal loss to Texas on Saturday.

Like many others, Kanell alluded to the sign-stealing controversy the defending national champions were involved in last season.

"Imagine that…it’s a little tougher to dominate opponents when you don’t know what’s coming," Kanell wrote .

Michigan has a target on its back due to the controversy. Former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended by the Big Ten Conference for the final three regular-season games last year.

The conference released a statement explaining that Michigan had been involved in "conducting an impermissible, in-person scouting operation over multiple years, resulting in an unfair competitive advantage that compromised the integrity of competition."

Other notable names also joined in, piling on the Wolverines as they suffered their first loss since 2022.

" Michigan a** ," former Ohio State receiver Garrett Wilson said on X.

Former Texas star running back Bijan Robinson also weighed in.

"We’re witnessing a team that is the future of college football," Robinson said in reference to Texas. "Them [Michigan] boys done ran outta gas before it started."

Michigan fell to 1-1 with the loss. Sherrone Moore will look to get his team back on track next week against Arkansas State.
