Former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Kyle McCord put the college football world on notice on Saturday. McCord, now leading the Syracuse Orange after transferring over the offseason, played a huge part of Syracuse's win over No. 23 Georgia Tech.

The Orange were considered 2.5-point underdogs, per ESPN bet, entering the matchup. The Yellow Jackets left a mark in their season-opening win against then No. 10 ranked Florida State. After a dominant win over Georgia State last week, Georgia Tech was expected to continue their impressive run into Week 2.

But McCord was just too good in the 31-28 win. He completed 32-of-46 passes for 381 yards with four touchdowns to zero interceptions on the day. That brings his season total to 735 passing yards and eight touchdowns through two weeks.

McCord's performance didn't go unnoticed by college football analyst Robert Griffin III. The former ESPN analyst was taken back by how lethal McCord has been this season.

"Kyle McCord has been on an “Allow me to reintroduce myself” tour. MY GAWD. 735 passing yards 8 TDs through the first 2 weeks of the season," Griffin tweeted.

McCord left a lot of plays on the field for the Buckeyes last season, leading to a shaky exit from Columbus following a College Football Playoff miss. Once OSU signed Kansas State transfer Will Howard, the writing was on the wall for McCord's career as a Buckeye.

But it seems that the former four-star has found some new energy with the Orange and first-year head coach Fran Brown.

McCord and Syracuse have a bye next week before welcoming new ACC addition Stanford to town.

Good for McCord. I'm a Buckeye fan but the Buckeyes did him wrong. Here's hoping we don't meet up with Syracuse somewhere along the way.
