Jordan Chiles Reveals Where She Put Bronze Medal During Flight Home From Paris Olympics

USA Gymnastics star Jordan Chiles wouldn't let her gold and bronze medals out of her sight when she was heading home after the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The 23-year-old shared as much in an interview on the Chicks in the Office podcast, noting that she carried her medals with her personally instead of putting them in the check-in luggage.

Chiles won two medals in the Olympics: a gold in the team all-around event and a bronze in the individual floor exercise. While she has since been stripped of her bronze win due to a controversial ruling that is currently being appealed, it's worth noting that the interview happened just a couple of days following the Olympics when she still had her medal.

When the hosts asked about her plane ride from Paris back to the USA and where she put the hardware she won, Chiles explained that she wanted her medals with her so that she could easily get them out instead of the security wondering what's in her luggage.

"They definitely were in my carry-on," Chiles said while laughing. "Every time I go through security, I'm just like, 'Oh my gosh, they are going to think there's these big humongous' -- I don't know what they're going to think, something's wrong with my bag.

"So I always take them out and they're like, 'Oh my gosh, you did this?' I'm like, 'Yeah.'"

Jordan Chiles added that it's definitely a "cool" experience to have the medals with her and seeing several people, including security personnel, recognizing them.
