Having added Paul George over the offseason in a four-year, $212 million deal, it would be safe to say that most Philadelphia 76ers fans are confident of the team going into the 2024-25 season.

The 76ers will be expected to compete for the Championship this season with a Big Three of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and George. Anything other than a deep playoff run would be viewed as a disappointment.

That does not mean that the 76ers are ready to be challenging for a ring as well. The truth of the matter is that they look great on paper but we do not know how the pieces will fit on the court.

There are some areas where the 76ers need to improve as well, both on an individual level and as a unit.

Embiid is someone who will be vital if the Sixers are to put up a serious title challenge next season. There are some areas where the former MVP needs to work on though going into the 2024-25 season.

On The Sixer Sense , Alexandros Tsakos suggested that his conditioning, leadership and defense are three areas that Embiid has to fix ahead of the 76ers' crucial season.

Embiid is one of the best players in the world without a doubt but unfortunately, he just has a tough time remaining on the court.

To his credit, Embiid has found a way to contribute by playing despite not being 100 per cent a lot of the time. That does end up having an effect on his game though and one can only wonder how good he would be if he could put his fitness issues behind him.

Perhaps we will get to see that next season as the 76ers have done a good job of increasing the depth behind him, with Andre Drummond and Adem Bona.
