For three and a half quarters, South Florida hung strong with Alabama inside Bryant-Denny Stadium .

With just 6:45 left in the fourth quarter, the Bulls kicked a field goal to cut the Crimson Tide's lead to 21-16.

Kalen DeBoer's team exploded after that for three long touchdowns that began with freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams breaking one for 43 yards.

DeBoer spoke on the young freshman and his quarterback's trust in him.

"Ryan, you know, the catch that he had, you know, I love that," DeBoer said. "I love that Jalen (Milroe) has enough confidence in him to rip it out there and let him go make a play."

Following Williams' touchdown grab, Alabama's rushing attack finally opened up with a pair of long runs from Jam Miller and Justice Haynes.

DeBoer talked about Miller and what he brings to the table.

"He's just really quiet. Doesn't like to say too much, but when he gets a chance to touch the ball, you know, we see what can happen," DeBoer said. "You see times where, what you saw tonight, him getting loose and making those guys miss. I love the cutback."

DeBoer was most proud of Miller's response to his fumble from earlier in the game.

"I know he'll take it super hard too, with the one turnover he had there too. So, you know, he got a fire in his eyes and he came back, you know, wanted the ball. And that's what I love about him. You know, that's what I love about a lot of our guys. You know, they want to get back in the fight and go help the team."

It's that last part that makes this team who they are. There is plenty of adversity still to come especially with Georgia visiting in three weeks, but this Alabama team showed that it can handle rough patches.
