Should Eagles Have Concern in Pass Rush After Packers' Win?

Week 1 is always a time for many fans of teams to begin to panic about the inconsistencies of what their team showed in the first game of work.

The Philadelphia Eagles, despite moving to 1-0 after a 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers, are no exception. The Birds were able to hold Green Bay to just 1-4 in the red zone while also forcing two sacks and a turnover.

Not everything was perfect, though, when it came to Philadelphia's defense.

Despite the positive play, there were other things that stood in the Eagles' way from dominance - the pass rush.

While the Eagles did manage to record two sacks, both of them came courtesy of Zack Baun the linebacker, instead of their high-priced pass rush. Is that something Philadelphia should be concerned about?

The reality is that Week 1 is never a key demarcation point of the struggles a team goes with. After all, the Birds only made one sack in their season-opening game during the 2022 season and ended up recorded a franchise record in sacks during the year.

How things look in the first week or two is not indicative of long-term success. It's why the Eagles shouldn't be concerned with their pass rush just yet.
