Kelly Stafford is finding it challenging to connect with other wives of Los Angeles Rams players, citing her age as a barrier. The 35-year-old spouse of quarterback Matthew Stafford expressed her struggles during a recent podcast episode, noting that she feels out of place among the younger wives.

“I honestly love that when you came in there … the team girls have really gotten close, which I love watching,” Stafford, 35, told Harper, 31, during the Friday, September 6, episode of the former’s “Morning After” podcast. “I feel like I really struggle with that here since I’m really f–king old.”

Matthew Stafford, who previously played for the Detroit Lions, was traded to the Rams in 2020. Kelly has been supportive of the new friendships forming among the Rams' wives and girlfriends, especially with Christen Harper, wife of quarterback Jared Goff, who also transitioned from Detroit.

Despite her feelings of being “too old” for the social scene, Kelly recently hosted a gathering for the Rams' wives, which she described as enjoyable. She mentioned that now that their home is complete, she may host more events in the future.

“I will say, now that our house is done, maybe we’ll host a little more, but I love that I said I’m f–king old,” Kelly quipped. “Guys, I currently have a heating pad around my neck and shoulders.”

While she misses her former Michigan community, Kelly and Matthew have embraced life in Los Angeles. They appreciate the city's vibrant atmosphere and the support they receive from fans. As the Rams prepare for their season opener against the Lions, Kelly plans to cheer for her husband from home with their four daughters instead of attending the game in person.

“There’s a lot to do in Los Angeles, like, people are supporting [us],” Kelly said. “We’re gonna stay here when [Matthew retires], we love it here [and] our kids love it here. We’ve immersed ourselves in the community that’s around us, which has been amazing. But, this game [on Sunday, September 8] is going to be electric because of the people in that city and that state. They show up.”
