It's just the second time Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has returned to Detroit to play the Lions, where he spent 12 years after being taken No. 1 overall in the 2009 NFL draft.

Kelly Stafford, Matthew's wife, didn't forget the boos she and her family heard in last season's playoff loss in Detroit. In what could be considered an effort to remind Lions fans who has a Super Bowl win and who doesn't, she posted a photo on her Instagram story.

That photo included a selfie of her wearing a custom shirt with her husband's face on it. Matthew Stafford can be seen celebrating at the 2022 Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl victory parade with a Vince Lombardi Trophy hat on his head and a cigar in his mouth.

Kelly Stafford showed off her iconic shirt ahead of Sunday's Week 1 matchup.

Kelly Stafford and the couple's four daughters did not make the trip to Detroit this time around. She claimed it was best for her to stay home for her " mental health ."

Stafford was traded in 2021 for current Lions quarterback Jared Goff. Looking back on the exchange, it worked out for both teams.

The Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20, to win the Super Bowl that very next season, while the Lions would reach the NFC Championship game in 2023-24, but fall to the San Francisco 49ers 34-31.

In the Lion's run to the NFC Championship, they welcomed Stafford back to Detroit for that first meeting. The Lions would defeat the Rams 24-23 in the Wild Card Round.

As the Rams and Lions will look to claim 1-0 records in Week 1, they each play NFC opponents in Week 2. Los Angeles is set to travel to play the Arizona Cardinals, while Detroit will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Too bad you didn’t have the support of the team owners in Detroit. The Lions may have finally got it right now.
