The majority of the summer business is done and franchises are mostly putting the finishing touches to their teams right now ahead of the 2024-25 season. Nobody is expected to pull off any monumental moves at this point in time. The Chicago Bulls, for their part, have signed a former New Orleans Pelicans power forward.

Right now, Patrick Williams is projected to be the starting power forward for the Bulls next season while the likes of Torrey Craig and Matas Buzelis can play there as well.

Now, they have another potential option there. According to Michael Scotto on X , the Bulls have agreed to a deal with EJ Liddell.

Liddell spent last season playing for the New Orleans Pelicans. He was selected 41st overall by the franchise in the 2022 NBA Draft after playing his college basketball for Ohio State.

Liddell might have been with the Pelicans for a while but he did not play much basketball for them. He featured in 8 regular season games last season, averaging 2.9 minutes and 0.5 points. He also made a cameo appearance in a playoff game.

In July, Liddell was traded to the Atlanta Hawks as part of the deal for Dejounte Murray. Later that month, the 23-year-old was subsequently traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for David Roddy and then released.

So, it would be safe to say that nobody is sure exactly what the Bulls will get from Liddell and he almost quite certainly is not going to be a needle mover. He does have a point to prove though and will hopefully play the best basketball of his career in his home state of Illinois.

The Bulls suck I am tired of waiting for them to do something. You can't get any worse. Make some trades will you. AK and his crew don't seem like they know what they are doing. I don't even watch basketball that much anymore but I could build a better team with no experience.
