The WNBA had high expectations for Caitlin Clark when she entered the league as the No. 1 overall pick for the Indiana Fever earlier this year. And now as she approaches the conclusion of her debut campaign, it's clear that she's already gone above and beyond those expectations.

Clark is the frontrunner to win the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award by a wide margin, shattering several all-time league records and earning an All-Star selection in her first season with the Fever.

While Clark is impressive in nearly every facet of the game, one statistical category jumps off the page when looking at her Year 1 numbers.

Clark has already established herself as one of the WNBA's most elite playmakers, leading the league with 8.5 assists per game.

The WNBA posted its updated assist standings following Week 11 of the 2024 season. Clark holds the No. 1 spot by a wide margin, boasting 306 dimes at this point in the year.

Clark holds a 36-assist lead over the next best assist maker, Alyssa Thomas (270).

"Take a look at the Week 11 @Statefarm's Top Assists Leaderboard The rook, Caitlin Clark, is still leading the pack with 306 dimes and counting!" the WNBA wrote on X.

Clark set the all-time, single-season rookie assist record when she dropped nine in a win over the Seattle Storm on August 18. She passed the previous mark set by Ticha Penicheiro, who recorded 225 for the Sacramento Monarchs in her 1998 debut season.

Clark also set the new all-time WNBA single-game assist record when she recorded 19 in a loss to the Dallas Wings on July 17.

Clark dropped 26 points and 12 assists in an overtime win over the Atlanta Dream this past Sunday. She and the Fever will face off against the Las Vegas Aces in their next matchup on Wednesday night.
