In an industry riddled with sportsbooks, especially as advertisers or, more importantly, partners, podcast hosts will likely place a bet than not. Josh Hart, the co-host of the Roommates Show with Jalen Brunson, revealed his NFL Sunday activity.

"I didn't hit one parlay today. Football is back!" the New York Knicks wing posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) following Sunday's slate of NFL games.

Years ago, such a statement would cause an uproar, as players openly gambling was seen as taboo. However, in the current advertising and media partnerships landscape, many major shows and podcasts are primarily funded by DraftKings and FanDuel. In Brunson and Hart's case, Fanatics Sportsbook is a primary partner for the Roommates Show.

For people looking at Hart with a slant eye, it's not against league rules for players to bet on other sports. However, not even a year has passed since the Jontay Porter scandal, and understandably, some may reserve skepticism regarding players touching any bets moving forward.

On another note, hitting on parlays is hard.

However, considering Hart has ample resources for gambling statistics, you'd imagine he would hit on at least one. Without advertising other daily fantasy sites, there are some apps where you can at least win your money back or get twice the amount of what you bet.

Fanatics could give their partners promo codes, especially after a successful block party in Central Park for the Knicks' teammates' latest Roommates Show, which had a star-studded cast of guests.

Don't be surprised if Brunson teases his podcast co-host for the unfortunate betting results during the next Roommates Show.
