Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese will be sidelined for the rest of the 2024 WNBA season. While she'll have to sit on the bench, working through a season-ending wrist injury, Reese shared a new nickname for herself.

According to the rookie, she suffered the injury in her last game played, which ended up being a 92-78 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks.

While Reese was originally listed as "questionable," further medical testing revealed that she would need surgery to repair her wrist injury and would be in a cast for six weeks.

While Reese is on the sideline, cheering for the Sky's final playoff push, she's now calling herself the "Courtside baddie."

Reese capped off her rookie season averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. She was the only rookie averaging a double-double and led the WNBA in average rebounds while she was active.

The 6-foot-3 forward was arguably the most consistent player on the Sky, having started in every game she was available, which wound up being 34 contests.

Reese didn't just make an impact on the offensive end either; the rookie produced 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.

Despite Reese having a tremendous rookie season for Chicago, the Sky have been in a major rut since they returned from the WNBA's break in the season for the Olympics.

The Chicago Sky are 13-22 on the season. They've won their last two games, but Chicago has also lost three of its last 10 matchups.

However, they're firmly in a playoff spot at No. 8 in the WNBA standings with five games left to play in the regular season.
