Second-year Cornhusker head coach Matt Rhule met the media today to talk about their 28-10 domination of the Buffaloes Saturday, laying out what's next for the #24, 2-0 Huskers.

The media asked him how he felt about avenging last year's loss in Boulder.

"If you want to play championship football you're just like this," Rhule said, tapping the podium along an imaginary ruler, one inch at a time. "So I don't get too high and I don't get too low."

"It wasn't the highlight of the year for me. It wasn't vindication, it wasn't anything. It was a game that we played, 1-0."

Rhule felt confident going into the game. "I expected the game to go that way. I expected us to score 40 points in that game and hold them to about 10.  That was my prediction going into it. I thought that's where the game was."

"That's no disrespect to them. I think they're a really good team. I just thought we matched up really well against that team."

Rhule's experience, perspective and confidence in his program has to be encouraging to Nebraska fans after a long drought. He's been through it and he's coached at the highest level. The 2-0 Huskers remain at home for their next two contest versus Northern Iowa and 2-0 Illinois. They won't face a ranked opponent until October 26 when they travel to Columbus to meet the number two-ranked Buckeyes.

Trust that Rhule will keep them working along his ruler.
