The drama around Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes just keeps on churning. On Saturday, the Buffs looked flat in a loss to Nebraska, highlighted by Shedeur Sanders leaving the field early and fans being upset about it.

Over the weekend, Jake Shapiro of Denvers Sports published a piece saying that Coach Prime would not allow the band to play the fight song if Shedeur Sanders scores a touchdown.

"A year later and the fight song doesn’t even play in the stadium after the quarterback throws a touchdown," Shapiro wrote. "Deion Sanders told the band they couldn’t play if his son Shedeur Sanders scores a touchdown so that the loudspeaker can play a recording of his son’s song “Perfect Timing.”"

On Monday, the University released a statement shutting down such claims. Shortly after, Coach Prime dropped a cryptic tweet on X.

"What happened to Accountability for lies told & consequently sold," Sanders wrote on X. "A lie don’t care who tells it & only a fool can fool a fool but the Wise is Prudent. #CoachPrime"

It certainly is interesting timing for Coach Prime to tweet something about accountability and lies told after that report came out.

Per the University's statement, the band waits for Shedeur's son to play for a bit before they play the fight song.

Colorado podcast host Ryan Koenigsberg also did some digging to disprove the previous reports by Shapiro:

"I just did a little bit of research on this, a thing that anyone can do," Koenigsberg wrote. "Let's at least have the facts straight and then everyone can form their opinions on it. Here's the sequence from last year after Shedeur hit Xavier Weaver for a TD against CSU: Touchdown Band plays "Glory Colorado" (Not the fight song) Extra point Band plays "Fight CU" (The fight song) Here's the sequence this year after Shedeur hit Jimmy Horn Jr. for a TD against NDSU: Touchdown Speakers play "Perfect Timing" Extra point Band plays "Fight CU"

It's just another domino effect in Boulder. Keep in mind this comes not even a month after Deion Sanders decided he would no longer take questions from Denver Post reporter Sean Keefer.
