'Drug Test TJ Watt!' Demands NBA Player After Steelers Win Over Falcons

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Atlanta Falcons 18-10 on Sunday with one of the league's best defensive efforts of the day.

As the Falcons were driving for a game-tying score and conversion while time was running down, Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt sacked Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins on the game's last play to thwart the threat and give Pittsburgh a 1-0 record early in the season.

Watt's effort on the day prompted an unusual social media post by Houston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr .

"Drug test tj watt," Smith - who is from Atlanta and a noted Falcons fan - posted.

It was a tremendous defensive effort by the Steelers, who allowed just 226 total yards on the day, including 137 through the air and 89 on the ground. Watt and the defense held Atlanta to just 2-of-9 on third down conversions and Cousins threw two interceptions.

It was a great individual effort by Watt too, who registered four total tackles with two solo, two for loss, a fumble recovery and one sack.

Watt is off to a fast start this season after another stellar year in 2023. He was voted first-team All-Pro, received Pro Bowl honors and was second in voting for the Defensive Player of the Year award.

The former Wisconsin Badger posted 68 tackles last season with an interception, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and a league-high 19 sacks.
