Following their Week 1 victory, the Los Angeles Chargers took to social media to poke fun at a recent elevator mishap that occurred during the preseason. In a light-hearted post, the team used the phrase "no elevators," referencing the incident where several players and staff members found themselves trapped in a hotel elevator for hours.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the ordeal, and the team has since turned the situation into an ongoing joke. The incident took place on August 23, when Chargers personnel were stuck in a Dallas hotel elevator while preparing for their preseason finale against the Cowboys. Dallas Fire-Rescue had to assist them, extracting individuals one by one through the ceiling panel after the elevator became stuck in a "blind shaft" between floors.

Among those trapped were quarterback Justin Herbert and Jeri Fouts, the wife of Hall of Famer Dan Fouts. The experience, while challenging, fostered a sense of camaraderie among the group. Herbert emerged as a calming presence during the ordeal, helping to keep spirits high.

The team’s ability to laugh about the situation reflects their resilience and unity. The elevator incident has become a shared memory that has brought the players closer together, allowing them to look back on it with humor.
