On Sunday, September 8, U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles made waves after making an appearance in a WNBA game between the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces. The 23-year-old made sure to take in all the action, which included a post-game link-up with WNBA All-Star Sabrina Ionescu after the 5-foot-11 guard helped lead the Liberty to a 75-71 win over the defending champions Aces.

Chiles' main agenda in The Big Apple, however, is the New York Fashion Week. On Monday, September 9, the Olympic gold medalist took to the runway for the Kim Shui Fashion Show.

Jordan definitely turned heads as she took the honor of being the show's closer in a stunning silver leotard-inspired Kim Shui outfit.

It's not every day that you get invited to take part in a show in the New York Fashion Week, and it's even a rarer occasion to be the star of the show.

This just speaks volumes of Chiles' status as one of the most popular celebrity athletes in America right now. She's made a bold statement here as she continues to live her best life despite the controversy she was recently involved in.

Chiles' Olympic journey ended in heartbreak after she was stripped of the bronze medal from the floor exercise final. It was determined that her initially successful judges appeal came four seconds too late, thereby leading to a 0.100 deduction from her final score.

From third, Chiles fell all the way to fifth, which forced her to give up the bronze medal to Romanian Ana Barbosu.

It's not as if Jordan no longer cares about the bronze medal she lost. After all, having to forgo an Olympic medal is not something you just forget about.

Nevertheless, Chiles' strong statement at the New York Fashion Week -- as well as her recent string of high-profile public appearances -- should serve as proof that she's doing everything she can to move past the controversy.

In true Jordan Chiles fashion, she's doing it all in style.
