    Chargers Coach Jim Harbaugh Eulogizes Acting Legend James Earl Jones With Heartfelt Post On X

    Jim Harbaugh won his opening game with the Los Angeles Chargers in convincing fashion as his team defeated Antonio Pierce's Raiders by a score of 22-10 at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

    On Monday, Harbaugh took time out of his busy schedule to eulogize a fellow University of Michigan alumnus, legendary actor James Earl Jones, with a heartfelt post in memoriam on his X account.

    "James Earl Jones has passed!" Harbaugh wrote. "He carved a magical moment in our lives with his introduction of the The Michigan football team each home game...'WE ARE MICHIGAN' and memories of my growing up with his part in 'Sandlot' and 'Field of Dreams,'" Harbaugh added.

    "LEGEND!"

    Earl Jones was 93 at the time of his passing on Monday. The voice of household name characters like Mufasa from The Lion King and Darth Vader from Star Wars , Earl Jones earned a scholarship to the University of Michigan in 1949.

    He started college on a pre-med track but ended up in acting, earning a degree in drama from the school in 1955.

    Earl Jones received an honorary doctor of humane letters in 1971.
