New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and San Francisco 49ers rising star Brock Purdy showed their respect for each other following their Monday Night Football showdown in Week 1.

Rodgers and Purdy were seen dapping each other up and seemingly exchanging pleasantries after their clash, which saw the 49ers take a 32-19 win over the Jets.

Sure enough, the video of the postgame moment between the two elite quarterbacks quickly went viral, with fans showering them with praise for the respect and admiration that they showed each other.

The video of the interaction that the NFL shared has been viewed over 70,000 times in just 20 minutes after it was posted. It has also received hundreds of likes, comments and shares.

"Rodgers has been around so long Brock probably idolized him as a kid. Love seeing this kind of stuff. How cool would that be?" a fan wrote.

"2 legends hugging it out," another one commented. A social media user added, "Love to see it!"

"Purdy is goated and so is Rodgers," a supporter furthered.

A fifth fan said, "Game spirit."

Aaron Rodgers didn't have the best of performances, as he finished with 167 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 13-of-21 pass completion for the Jets.

Meanwhile, Brock Purdy went 19-of-29 for 231 yards. While he didn't throw for a touchdown, the 49ers quarterback avoided an interception as well.

It's definitely great to see Rodgers and Purdy show the NFL brotherhood even after a tough game.

The Jets will have a chance to bounce back and get their first win with Rodgers as QB when they play the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. As for Purdy and the 49ers, they will look to make it a winning streak to start the season against the Minnesota Vikings this coming Sunday, September 15.
