The Los Angeles Chargers kicked off their 2024 season with a solid win against the Las Vegas Raiders, securing a 22-10 victory at SoFi Stadium .

This win marks a promising start for the Chargers under head coach Jim Harbaugh, who is looking to reshape the team's identity.

Harbaugh, who last celebrated a win in the NFL back in 2014 with the San Francisco 49ers, emphasized the challenges of securing victories in this league.

The game showcased the Chargers' commitment to a physical style of play, a hallmark of Harbaugh's coaching philosophy.

After the victory, Harbaugh reflected on the season opener win, saying that winning in this league is not easy and that 'these are hard to get.'

"They're hard to get," Harbaugh said of wins in the NFL. "These are hard to get and everybody in that locker room knows it, as do I.

"It is really hard to win a game in the NFL. I just take my hat off to everybody," Harbaugh added.

The Chargers' offense was heavily focused on the run, accumulating 176 rushing yards compared to just 140 through the air. Defensively, they held the Raiders to 296 total yards, demonstrating a strong performance on both sides of the ball.

While the Raiders may not be considered a top-tier opponent, the Chargers' effort reflects their potential for the season ahead.

With a clear identity and a tough mindset, the team is poised to make a statement in 2024.

Next up, the Chargers will aim for their second win of the season as they head to Carolina to face the Panthers.

The team will look to build on this momentum and continue their push for success.
