Micah Parsons wants Dallas Cowboys fans to relax. The Cowboys star linebacker acknowledged the concern Dallas supporters have about his future with the team as he remains without a contract extension but quelled their fears by making a promise that he's not going anywhere.

“A lot of fans [are] worried about me,” Parsons said on his podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons.

“Man, I know I'm going to be a Cowboy. There's nothing like Cowboy Nation. I think the love is very mutual. As for me, I'm just focused on winning games. I want to win those big games. I want to win those playoff games and get to the Super Bowl. The contract is not really what I'm worried about; it's just me being the best player I can be for my guys, my teammates.”

That is definitely music to the ears of Cowboys fans, who have plenty to feel good about at this point of the 2024 NFL season. For one, Dallas just recently extended both wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott. The Cowboys also passed their first test of the season by taking down the Cleveland Browns on the road last Sunday, 33-17.

Even without a new contract, Parsons played at a high level in the Browns game, coming up with a sack and five quarterback hits. He also got a solid 75.8 overall rating for that contest from Pro Football Focus.

Parsons, a three-time Pro Bowler, doesn’t have a contract beyond the 2025 NFL season. He has a cap hit of $5.434 million in 2024 and $21.324 million in 2025. For what it’s worth, Parsons’ average annual value estimate is at $30.6 million, per Spotrac .
