Prediction: Browns' Jedrick Wills Jr. Signing With Raiders in Free Agency

Cleveland Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. is in the final year of his rookie contract. The former No. 10 overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft has had an up and down career thus far.

He is currently still unable to play due to a torn MCL suffered in Week 8 of last season. He was a no-go this past Sunday, and the Dallas Cowboys defense had full access to the backfield all day.

Bleacher Report believes that Wills could become a free agent at the end of the season and that the Browns could lose the former Alabama star to the Las Vegas Raiders.

"Jedrick Wills Jr. has offered the Browns diminishing returns since a promising rookie campaign, He has battled injuries and inconsistencies that don't make it a sure thing that he'll be back in Cleveland next season,” B/R Writes.

Wills has the pedigree from playing in Alabama, but injuries have plagued his career. He is set to return at some point, but a return date is still unclear as he has not fully healed from his injury.

“Wills could still provide value to a team in search of a right tackle. He played on the right side at Alabama and made the switch to the left side after the Browns took him with the first-round pick.

“The Raiders could be looking to upgrade at the position if Thayer Munford doesn't show he can be the starter. Perhaps a return to his collegiate position could boost Wills' performance."

If the Browns aren’t going to re-sign Wills and are willing to let him go following the season, maybe it’s time they give former Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari a call.

From all reports, he’s healthy, and he is still one of the best in the league when he’s on his game.

His presence could help stabilize the offensive line and provide blindside protection to Deshaun Watson.

Although, giving up on a 25-year-old tackle probably isn’t the best idea, although, moving him back to his natural position at right tackle might be the right idea for the Browns at this point.
