Viral NFL Touchdown Video Has Fans Calling it Best Highlight 'Ever Made'

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson started his sophomore season on a strong note after connecting with wide receiver Alec Pierce in the first quarter against the Houston Texans on Sept. 8.

Richardson threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Pierce to give them an early lead, 7-3. But alas, it would be the first and last time the Colts tasted the lead, as the Texans escaped with a 29-27 win.

Despite the loss, many marveled at the impressive touchdown. Richardson slipped in the pocket but quickly recovered to find Pierce just a few inches from the endzone with a textbook pass.

The Colts posted a slow-motion video of the highlight on X. Sports page "Barstool Indy" reposted it and called it "the toughest sports edit ever made."

Fans agreed and expressed their awe.

"Live, I said out loud, this was the greatest deep ball I’ve ever seen," commented one fan.

"Absolutely a sick throw," posted one fan. "Guess his (Richardson) shoulder injury is healed."

"As a Texans fan, this was tuff af," said an opposing fan.

"This pass was actually crazy," another X user tweeted.

"Dude, that throw-off balance is insane," said one fan.

"Are the Colts the only team with this camera angle?" asked another viewer.

Richardson, the fourth overall pick of the 2023 NFL draft, had two passing touchdowns and rushed for a three-yard score in the closing minutes against the Texans. He was 9-of-19 with 212 yards.

Pierce, meanwhile, finished with three catches for 125 yards and one touchdown.
