Seattle Storm Facing Backlash For Inappropriate Usage of Caitlin Clark Photo

Caitlin Clark has more draw than any other player in the WNBA. And on Monday night, the Seattle Storm attempted to capitalize on that draw with the usage of Clark's photo in a Defensive Player of the Year graphic for Ezi Magbegor.

The photo used in the graphic depicts Magbegor blocking Clark on a drive to the basket.

When this play occurred early in Clark's rookie season, it sparked controversy around the WNBA world. The Indiana Fever All-Star was hit hard across the head and sent crashing to the floor.

No foul was called.

The Storm are facing backlash from WNBA fans who feel the usage of this photo is inappropriate.

"Using Caitlin as clickbait is beneath you guys. Ezi doesn’t need this weird graphic. Do better," one fan wrote.

"Using CC for clicks, childish and pathetic," another said.

"Why y'all got CC in the graphic though? Weird behavior," another added.

Clark and the Fever went 1-3 against the Storm this season. In their most recent matchup on August 18, Clark recorded 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds en route to a 75-92 victory.

The Fever will face off against the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday night.
