Following a Kansas City Chiefs 27-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, All-Pro Trent McDuffie, celebrated with his favorite pizza with his favorite topping.

ChiefsWire spoke with McDuffie while he hosted an event at the Little Ceasars’ Love Kitchen at Arrowhead Stadium. Of course, when pizza is involved, everyone loves it their own way. McDuffie was asked what his favorite topping was.

“I love this question,” said McDuffie. “It’s very controversial … pineapple pizza is always a thing for me. It’s the best I’m telling you!”

Controversial to say the least. We can agree to disagree, Trent.

After the pizza fun was over, however, McDuffie was asked about the wild ending against the Ravens on Thursday night.

“Yeah. I mean, when he first scored, obviously, I was upset about it,” said McDuffie. “It was zero seconds on the clock. You never want to see the offense score.

“At that time, we were up almost the whole game. So, as a defense, it was like, 'Dang, OK, we got to go back and fix things. But I saw that the Ravens were going to go for two.”

At the time, McDuffie thought the Ravens had scored and were going to try and win the game, but the play had come under review.

“Once, I saw Patrick Mahomes sprinting on the field to the other side of the end zone. I was like, okay, the touchdown got overturned like we won this game. It was just a relief,” said McDuffie.

“Starting the year off with the win and being in front of the home crowd with the Super Bowl banner that got dropped, overall starting the season that’s how you want to start it off.”

It was a thrilling ending to an overall fantastic opener to the NFL season.

The Chiefs will host Joe Burrow and the Bengals on Sunday. Kickoff is at 3:25 CT.

Also, pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza.
