The Pittsburgh Steelers defense was as dominant as ever on Sunday afternoon in an 18-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was matched up with Falcons’ receiver Drake London for most of the day.

When discussing the game, Porter couldn’t help but throw a little shade London’s way.

“What was his stat line? You tell me,” Porter said. “Yeah, he did a little warm-up today. It was good.”

London’s stat line? He caught just two passes for 15 yards in the Falcons loss. When asked how he was so effective on one of the league's up-and-coming receivers, his answer was simple.

“We’ve got the same body types,” Porter said on shadowing London. “That was the main thing.”

London could never break free of Porter's coverage. The former Nittany Lion, who is in his second year as a pro, only allowed one touchdown past last season and only gave up more than 50 yards to opposing receivers twice.

Porter is well on his way to being mentioned in the same breath as guys like Sauce Gardner and Trent McDuffie. Earlier this offseason, Porter told reporters that he didn’t care where he was ranked, or who did or didn’t consider him to be one of the league’s best.

“I don’t care if I am mentioned in there among the best or not because they are going to hear my name eventually,” said Porter. If he continues on this path, “they” won’t have any other choice the to talk about him.
