Kansas City Chiefs rookie wideout Xavier Worthy wasted no time in making a statement to the rest of the league. On hit first touch in the NFL, Worthy took a reverse around the right side, unbothered, 21 yards into the end zone. Once he turned the corner and turned on the jets, the Ravens had no answer for him.

He also added two catches for 47 yards and another score in this game. ... making his speed seem unstoppable. Per The Athletic’s Mike Sando , a scout from another team feels that the reverse has put the rest of the league on notice.

"When that kid ran that reverse, everybody on the Ravens' defense is all of a sudden, '(Bleep), now what do we do?'" t he scout said. "The answer is, we don't do anything. We can't react as quick because we're afraid he's going to reverse field."

That one play will now resonate throughout the league. Every coordinator that faces the Chiefs this season will be scared to death to over-pursue ... or else.

Showing that play in the opener was absolute genius by coach Andy Reid. He now has a mental edge over ever coordinator in the league.

The Chiefs will host Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT.
