Giant Disarray: Kayvon Thibodeaux Ignores Reporter's Question

Before the season began, the New York Giants believed their improved pass rush could carry them to victory on most game days. Especially with third-year edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux leading the way.

Things didn't get off to a good start for either party, though. New York fell 28-6 in an uncompetitive contest to the Minnesota Vikings at home, and Thibodeaux himself didn't even record a tackle in the loss.

Making matters worse was the fact that the former Oregon standout wasn't too keen on answering valid questions after the game.

Following the loss, ESPN's Jordan Raanan asked, "You know that a lot is on you and the pass rush up front, that's what this team is supposed to be built on. How much––."

Thibodeaux quickly interrupted saying to the other reporters "Anybody else got questions?"

Now, Thibodeaux has every reason to be frustrated after a loss similar to the one the Giants sustained on Sunday. The fact that he didn't want to answer a question based on his own performance, though, shows a lack of maturity, and a clear problem within the locker room.

If Big Blue's top players are above talking about their own struggles, how is the coaching staff going to be able to succeed going forward? Thibodeaux is supposed to be one of the young leaders on the roster.

What does it say he refuses a very fair question from a reporter?

Things aren't alright for the Giants early in 2024 and it seems the results in Week 1 were just the tip of the iceberg.
