San Antonio Spurs Announce Front Office Personnel Moves

The San Antonio Spurs have officially announced three offseason moves, although they don't affect the roster at all. After drafting Stephon Castle, trading for Harrison Barnes, and signing Chris Paul, the Spurs have shifted their focus to the front office.

After hiring Scott King as the head coach of the Austin Spurs, the Spurs have continued to boost their G League program, promoting Josh Larson to General Manager in Austin and making Gorgui Dieng the assistant GM for the G League club.

Mike Noyes has been hired as an assistant coach and director of player development for the San Antonio team as well.

Dieng played 10 NBA seasons before retiring with the Spurs after the 2022-23 season. He played two separate stints in San Antonio and worked in the front office after stepping away from playing. He was seen in the war room on draft night when the Spurs selected Stephon Castle fourth overall in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Larson worked for the Austin Spurs as a basketball operations manager and has been promoted to general manager, following the Spurs' trend of hiring internally.

For the main club, Noyes has joined the coaching and developmental staff. He served six seasons as an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies and is an alum of the University of Connecticut, where he played in 25 games over three seasons. He was a walk-on and received a scholarship in his final season.

Noyes will likely work closely with Castle, who won a national championship with the Huskies in 2024.
